I had a profile published on a fab website this week, www.familyfriendlyworking.co.uk here is the link http://bit.ly/1D4Hfu
Its a great website for mums and dads looking for home work options, it has ideas and advice on working for your self from home, setting up your own business and PR and marketing. I am getting to grips with social media marketing and finding FFW helpful in online PR. Take a look at the site (and my profile).

I have not blogged for a while, I have been too busy getting to grips with social networking and I can honestly say I can see how your business can benefit hugely from it. Not least because so far I have managed to secure two interviews which showcase me and my business, one of which is now published on www.partyplantogether.co.uk and the other will be live on www.familyfriendlyworking.co.uk on November 11th.
Next on my list of ways to get exposure for my business is to try to secure a press interview so my plan is to call local editors and see if they are interested in my story.
I am also on the look out for local events such as pamper evenings, shopping events like aschool fairs etc but so far finding such events in london is proving difficult, I have managed to find events in all the bordering regions so it is a little frustrating that I cant seem to find any closer by. Maybe once my daughter starts school in November I will be a bit more in the loop.
And what is going on with the postal strike? it is really not the time to be striking, sorry but I think everyone should think themselves lucky to have jobs never mind striking. So many small business's are suffering to the point of going out of business and this is not helped by such action. I knowit will disrupt my business if it goes ahead and maybe to the point of loosing customers, they obviously do not think of the working conditions for the people who rely on them.

I have another consultant to train tomorrow and with Christmas just around the corner I am hoping for more party planner to start soon. I have advertised on www.remoteemployment.co.uk so that should gain some interest and an interview for www.partyplantogether.co.uk should be appearing on their homepage soon.

My Twitter update seems to be a bit strange today, I have no idea who's updates they are but they are not mine, very strange, never mind, my twitter user name is jomaher if you want to follow me.

We are about to get some great new L'Occitane Christmas gift sets, I think 5 different ones in all so these should be great for sales, just need the consultants, if anyone reading this is interested in working from home and earning some money for Christmas please get in touch you can email me at jojomulaku@googlemail.com or send me a message on Twitter.

Well better go and feed the brood.

I am finding that many of the normal places you would advertise part time jobs are not happy to accept work from home jobs or direct selling jobs so it is really refreshing to find websites set up especially for party plan and direct sales opportunities.
I logged onto Party Plan Togetger and was pleasantly surprised to see a blog all about Vnatural with L'Occitane as it is partly due to me making myself and Vnatural known to them. Here is the link, And a big thank you to Sharon of Party Plan Together.

I am currently working on setting up a website which will be a resorce for mums who are either looking for work from home opportunities or who already are working from home and are looking for support in all areas, from the practicalities of juggling time to new ideas on growing your business through internet exposure, networking etc. The site will also highlight possible scams as there are o many out there and I am sure most if not all of us homeworking mums will at some time have been cought up in one, if not more.
I will blog my progress and of course link my website when complete, in the mean time I welcome any ideas, coments or potential content.

I have recruited my first consultant

So two weeks after starting my new business, I have managed to recruit my first L'Occitane consultant and have today carried out her training session which consists of lots of product training and the practicalities of her new role, which she has decided to take in the direction of Corporate consultant.
I am so please to have my first team member on board in a relatively short period of time. This is such a new opportunity that as yet it is not widely known about so I have had to do lots of networking on the Internet in order to get the word out there and I must say have generated lots of interest and leads from people wanting to be Managers in other areas and also Party Planners.
I have found that juggling looking after my two young children and starting a new business a challenge but also very satisfying, especially on days like today where I get to see my hard work pay off. It is also great to be in a position of being able to offer other mums, wanting to work from home, the opportunity to do so with little investment and a genuine opportunity where the potential earnings are not only easily accheveable but are also not over sold. I have come accros so many scams while looking for my perfect homeworking opportunuty I am so pleased to have discovered Vnatural with L'Occitane.

L'Occitane Party Plan Consultants, New opportunity, West and South West London

I have just been appointed the Area Manager for L'Occitane Party Plan in association with Vnatural Well-being (www.vnatural.co.uk) covering West and South West London. This is a really exciting venture for me as I absolutely love beauty products and in particular L'Occitane and it gives me the flexibility I need to work from home around my young children.
Anyone Mum who has not wished to return to work after having children will almost certainly have trawled the Internet for ways to work from home and many. like I did, will have come across numerous scams, just typing in "homeworking" or "work from home" into any search engine will have lead you to thousands of sites offering huge earning potential, well thankfully I have managed to fine my dream job from home, it will be hard work and long hours but on my terms as I am my own boss and in my own time.

Now onto a bit about what I will be doing and the opportunities I am in the privileged position of being able to offer other Mums or Dads (or anyone else wishing to earn extra money).

Vnatural Well-being is the only company to be able to offer L'Occitane en Provence to you in a party plan format therefore providing a fantastic opportunity to build a business in a self employed capacity with as an extra income or on a full time basis. Not only can this range be sold at home parties but at local events and through workplaces.

L'Occitane is an ethical and environmentally-aware brand with products that really work and sell well throughout the world.

I will continue to blog my progress while on the lookout for Consultants so should you or anyone you know of wish to join or just obtain further information please get in touch via twitter.
